Capco is looking to hire a skilled backend developer to design, develop, and maintain API services and backend systems for clients in the utility industry, specifically relating to asset management and regulatory compliance. The goal is to deliver innovative solutions to challenging business and technical problems facing these clients.
Requirements
- Strong experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+ and C
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and development
- Well-grounded in OOP methodology
- Experience with Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and SQL Server, and Oracle
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and multi-threading
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of authentication & authorization frameworks (OAuth 2.0, JWT)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and performant RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external systems.
- Implement business logic, data access layers, and background processing services using .NET Core / .NET 6+ and C
- Work with enterprise systems such as SCADA, GIS, Meter Data Management (MDM), and Customer Information Systems (CIS) to enable seamless data exchange
- Build services to process and store large volumes of operational and meter data efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
- Ensure low latency and high reliability in backend processes to support mission-critical electric utility operations
- Implement secure coding practices, adhere to NERC CIP and other relevant industry regulations, and ensure compliance in all integrations
- Write unit, integration, and performance tests, ensuring robust code quality
