Peraton is developing the next generation of mission planning and command-and-control software for space communications programs to support the U.S. Government’s critical space communications infrastructure
Requirements
Experience in Python, with hands-on experience building scalable backend services and APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI
Proven experience working with modern infrastructure and tools, including PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, to support cloud-native application development and deployment
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of at least one major commercial cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including its native services for compute, storage, and security
Strong background in backend architecture and development, with a focus on performance optimization, security hardening, and system reliability
Extensive experience designing and developing Protected Key Management Architecture (PKMA) software, with a strong focus on secure backend systems
Responsibilities
Build multi-tenant services on public cloud platforms like AWS
Build, architect, and consume APIs and backend services as part of the platform ecosystem with an emphasis on automation, testing, and security
Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have a particular impact on your team and others
Engage with customers and partners to facilitate integration with our services
Solve complex technical challenges related to scaling space communications infrastructure
