Raytheon is seeking a Software Engineer II to support its radar programs and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department. The MDS SW mission is to provide world-class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for surveillance and warning systems, aligning with Agile and DevSecOps principles for high-frequency, high-quality deployments.
Requirements
- Experience developing software with agile methodology in a team-based environment.
- Experience in software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++, Java, or Ada.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python).
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.
- Exposure to radar software development and/or radar concepts.
- Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time application software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
