Lincoln Financial is looking to solve the problem of building and enhancing its cloud transformation capability, specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and requires a Sr. Cloud Analyst to provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise.

Requirements

  • 4+ yrs expertise in Cloud (must be AWS certified)
  • 5+ yrs experience & proficiency in IBM-Mainframes
  • Experience hosting applications with the tech-stack of - Microfocus-COBOl, JCL & CICS, DB2-LUW, MicroFocus Ent Server, DB2 connectivity
  • At least 1 full cycle execution of Mainframe to AWS migration
  • Mainframe and AWS communication & Integration: SNA Architecture, Data Transfer protocols (IBM connect direct, SFG Mailbox or similar), LRS printing tool integration with Microfocus & printers, LDAP and setting up one-way trust to Active-Directory
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification (nice to have)
  • 5+ Years experience in application development and architecture

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability, working with colleagues and vendor partners.
  • Lead engineering of software as Lincolns moves forward in its Cloud Transformation with AWS.
  • Identify and direct the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure that systems are designed, developed and implemented from a business point of view.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and management.

Other

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering
