Avangrid is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure and Network Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based infrastructures and network systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure while driving automation and efficiency across the organization.
Requirements
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, etc.)
- Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability
- Implement best practices for cloud architecture and security
- Develop and maintain automated network deployment and management systems using tools like Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Ensure seamless integration of network services with cloud and on-premises environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and security issues
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Other
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of cloud and network architectures, configurations, and processes
