Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to address the challenge of ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and readiness for advanced analytics and operational integration amidst evolving systems and data content.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of data integration principles, data flow analysis, and information architecture.
  • Experience analyzing data interfaces, ETL/ELT specifications, and source-to-target mappings.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting XML documents.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting data models, schemas, and ER diagrams.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting data dictionaries and metadata documentation.
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL for data profiling and querying.
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Visio.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a data remediation analyst for the Magellan initiative, with a strong focus on data quality and integrity.
  • Review and analyze mastered seller and product hierarchies across Salesforce, SAP, Anaplan, and other systems.
  • Analyze existing and new data sources, data specifications, and data integration points across upstream systems.
  • Investigate and recommend remediation strategies based on changes in source systems or schemas.
  • Interpret and assess the impact of modifications in upstream systems of record on downstream integrations and analytics.
  • Document data flows and transformations using visual tools (e.g., data flow diagrams, process models).
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, interface definitions, and data lineage records.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong emphasis on data integration and system remediation.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
