The Enterprise Data Strategy department owns the data strategy and build out of the enterprise data lake house. The Senior Data Architect plays a crucial role in creating high-quality data models and structures to support downstream analytics, reporting, and application requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, or data engineering
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling
- 1+ year of experience building and optimizing big-data pipelines, architectures and data sets
- 1+ year of experience with cloud data products in platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with Erwin data modeling
Responsibilities
- Contributes to data architecture strategy for complex projects from beginning-to-end, effectively communicates data architecture concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Contributes to the design and implements scalable data architecture that will support analytics, machine learning, and reporting for business intelligence.
- Develop and maintain data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow across sources.
- Interacts with business analysts, data product owners, data governance, data scientists, and other stakeholders to create and improve data models and products.
- Implements data strategies based on business requirements, develops data models to support data needs while ensuring flexibility to enhance and adapt to new data needs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture and processes.
- Stays updated with industry trends, drives innovation in data architecture practices
