Match Group is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to address the challenge of architecting and maintaining robust data systems that facilitate business decision-making across its portfolio of dating products, including Tinder, Match, Hinge, and others. The role is critical to ensuring accurate data flow and actionable insights for teams across the enterprise.
Requirements
- Expertise in SQL, Data Modeling, Lakehouse Architecture, and Python
- Used Redshift, Airflow, AWS QuickSight, Databricks, Spark, and relational database like SQL Server
- Experience delivering data products from conception to delivery
- Passionate about designing elegant ETL pipelines
- Capability to drive initiatives and articulate their value to Engineering and other stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Work with our Engineering teams to ensure data is flowing accurately through data creation to our presentation layers
- Improve our Data Engineering stack through containerization, data modeling, developing our ETL pipelines, and building scalable/reliable solutions
- Lead infrastructure initiatives, from design to implementation to delivery
- Support existing on-prem infrastructure and help expand our processes into the cloud (AWS/Databricks)
- Work with stakeholders and translate their needs and expectations into action items and deliverables
- Become an advocate for the Data Engineering team by developing and championing Data Engineering practices with the team and with the company at large
- Implement critical ETL pipelines and advance best practices for the data engineering team and the rest of the organization

- Good communication skills (written/verbal)
