SS&C is looking to increase revenue through data driven insights by building and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance analytics applications.
Requirements
- You bring 2-5 years of data engineering and/or data warehousing experience
- You have 2-5 years of experience building AWS cloud data solutions
- Proficient in designing and deploying data pipelines for ingest and transformation
- Proficient in minimum 5 of the following: Relevant ETL/ELT tool for data & analytics platforms (e.g. DBT), Data modeling and storage practices for data lakes, big data applications, data warehouses, data marts, and OLAP services, Agile development methodologies including DevOps and DataOps concepts, Relevant programming language for cloud platforms (e.g. Python and YAML), SQL for data profiling and transformation, Version control platforms like Git, IaaC (e.g. CloudFormation), Networking (VPC infrastructure and configuration: Subnets, Security Groups, Route Tables), AWS services supporting data architecture: Lambda, RDS, Step Functions, EventBridge, ECS
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and build data lakes, data warehouses, data infrastructure, data pipelines (ETL/ELT), and data models
- Automate the ingestion, delivery, processing, and quality, of structured and unstructured data
- Support and maintain system infrastructure, IAM policies and adhere to corporate security standards
- Support and maintain system network
- Bring your expertise in Amazon Web Services cloud solutions, architecture, related technologies, and their interdependencies
- Research, analyze, recommend, and select technical approaches for solving difficult and meaningful development and integration problems
- Learn and embrace new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation, and scalability
