Modernize an existing legacy enterprise platform to improve public facing processes and experiences for a major government partner.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience working in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably designing and building medium to large-scale on Cloud platforms
- At least 3 years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
- At least 3 years of experience building data services on AWS
- Experience building large scale data services with FHIR/HL7 in healthcare
- Experience with big data technologies such Apache Spark, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Databricks, AWS Redshift, AWS S3 and AWS RDS
- Proficient writing applications and APIs in Python, Go or Java
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines
- Implement large-scale data ecosystems within cloud-based platforms
- Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Work with cross-functional project teams to gather business requirements and translate to detailed technical specifications
- Participate in software design and code reviews
- Maintain security and privacy standards in all aspects of the data pipeline
Other
- Lead a team of 6 engineers
- Work with Government partners to assist and develop data engineering applications and pipelines
- Taking part in hiring activities (e.g., submitting referrals, conducting interviews, and attending interview debriefs), as needed
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired
- Work authorization that doesn’t require visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract
