Prime Video is looking to enhance its global data platform to improve the app experience and content discovery for its worldwide audience. The goal is to enable the team to build genAI based applications that will improve the efficiency of BI teams and Product Managers, and to provide data as a service for day-to-day decision making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience building genAI applications
- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
Responsibilities
- Develop new data models using engineering patterns that leverage new cloud architectures
- Extend or migrate existing data pipelines to the architectures as needed
- Enable the team to build genAI based applications
- Design and implement complex ETL pipelines in data warehouse platform and other BI solutions
- Deliver data as service which will have an immediate influence on day-to-day decision making at Prime Video
- Invent and simplify our architecture there by reducing cost
- Make sure our data store is secure and compliant

- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy
