At Globus Medical, the business problem is to deliver innovations that improve the quality of life of patients with musculoskeletal disorders by managing, securing, and optimizing the data platform across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience managing data platforms
- Cloud certifications OCI and/or GCP strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of on-premises and cloud data platform resource management, monitoring, security controls, and cost governance.
- Experience with data platform tools focused on performance optimization, security and data protection
- Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis skills.
- Familiarity with data integration pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and analytical workloads.
- Excellent communication and vendor coordination abilities.
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor OCI and GCP workloads for performance, availability, and stability.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks (e.g., ingestion pipelines, query performance, storage latency).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and alerts for resource utilization, capacity thresholds, and system health.
- Conduct regular security audits, including IAM reviews, encryption compliance, and audit logging.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices, patching schedules, and vulnerability management.
- Analyze usage patterns to forecast future resource needs.
- Right-size compute, storage, and network resources to optimize cost-efficiency.
