Aflac is seeking to enhance its data analysis and reporting capabilities to better assess organizational performance, identify trends, and drive data-driven strategies. The role aims to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders, optimizing reporting processes and ensuring data integrity.
Requirements
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms.
- Strong expertise in data manipulation, transformation, and database management, with the ability to integrate data from multiple sources.
- Experience with report automation, process optimization, and working with cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with analytical project management and successful demonstration of descriptive and diagnostic analytics.
- Performs advanced data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure high-quality accurate reporting.
- Assist with the development and implementation of data governance practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting platforms.
- Works with IT and other teams to enhance data infrastructure, ensuring that data pipelines, sources and platforms are optimized for reporting needs.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and maintenance of advanced reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL, ensuring alignment with strategic business needs.
- Leads special projects requiring commensurate analytical expertise and the development of executive level presentations
- Translates business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards.
- Ensures appropriate measures and reports are defined and implemented to assess organizational performance and/or initiative performance.
- Performs organizational research by gathering, interpreting and comparing operational data to benchmarking/best practice data, and provides insights/recommendations to the organization
- May perform complex data analysis and interpret large datasets to identify trends outliers, and business opportunities, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Optimize reporting processes by developing automated solutions reducing manual reporting efforts and improving data accuracy and efficiency.
Other
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise insights for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field.
- 4 or more years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles, with a focus on advanced reporting and data visualization.
- Collaborates with management and cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and drive the adoption of data-driven strategies.
- Mentors junior analyst, guides data reporting strategies, and plays a role in enhancing data infrastructure and reporting processes.
