Requirements
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, or Stata
- Proven expertise in working with large, disparate datasets across various relational databases
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality assurance, and industry best practices
- Familiarity with healthcare claims data analysis
- Experience working in healthcare or related sectors
- Strong background in statistical modeling, data analysis, and data science methodologies
- Ability to work independently on high-impact projects
Responsibilities
- Learn and understand data systems, sources, methodologies, logic, parameters, load times, lag considerations, data limitations, and governance guidelines to ensure accurate data handling.
- Apply statistical and data science techniques to deliver timely, accurate insights and comprehensive reports that support organizational goals.
- Enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data analytics and reporting processes through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Develop and promote best practices in reporting and data analytics across teams.
- Recommend and implement process and system enhancements to optimize data workflows.
- Identify high-impact insights and develop robust data models to inform strategic initiatives.
- Handle complex projects involving advanced data analytics, modeling, and interpretation.
Other
- Master's degree in data science, biostatistics, or a related field
- At least four years of relevant experience in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data analysis
- Minimal travel required, primarily working remotely
- Must adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
- Must pass a drug test prior to employment
