Requirements
- Strong expertise in geospatial analytics, ArcGIS, and spatial data visualization tools.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and geospatial libraries such as GeoPandas, Shapely, or ArcPy.
- Solid background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or geospatial analysis roles.
- Preferred: experience with trade area analytics, drive-time modeling, real estate optimization, BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI), financial modeling, or CPA certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full data science life cycle including data ingestion, feature engineering, modeling, validation, and operational deployment.
- Conduct geospatial analyses using tools such as ArcGIS, GeoPandas, and QGIS to support retail footprint, trade area, and market potential strategies.
- Translate complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement analytics that drive small business growth, client segmentation, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Data Science & Analytics team and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment of analytical objectives with business outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Geography, Economics, or related field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across technical and non-technical teams.
- Leadership experience mentoring junior team members and influencing cross-functional business units.
