Spectrum is seeking to solve business problems related to customer experience, sales, and operations by leveraging data-driven insights. The Operational Analytics & Insight team aims to provide measurement and recommendations to inform digital strategies across Spectrum's 41-state footprint.

Requirements

  • Experience: Data manipulation and statistical modeling as a Scientist, Consultant, Architect, DBA, or Engineer - 5+ Years; Programming Experience – 5+ Years
  • Skills: One or more scripting, analysis, or ETL languages and ability to rapidly learn new languages or techniques
  • Knowledge of large data sets and the tools to obtain, transform, and store data on Big Data, cloud, and streaming services
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Distributed computing tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Map/Reduce
  • Data visualization tools like Excel and Tableau
  • Familiarity with the properties of the major families of machine learning techniques

Responsibilities

  • Utilize data engineering skills to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure to make data accessible for various applications and users.
  • Create and optimize data pipelines that transform raw data into usable formats for data scientists, business analysts, and other data consumers.
  • Design, build, and maintain data warehouses, databases, and other data storage systems.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines to collect, clean, transform, and load data into the appropriate storage systems.
  • Implement processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and pipelines.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or operations research, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hybrid Schedule: Four in-office days weekly
