At Barings, the business problem is to enhance proprietary and third-party applications, drive data automation, and deliver insights that support firm-wide decision-making in the Private Markets Systems team.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, and Microsoft BI tools.
- Experience with .NET, SQL Server / Databricks, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with urgency
- Experience in Private Assets, or financial services is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to business teams, translating investment and operational needs into technical solutions.
- Lead development and enhancement of internal and third-party applications using .NET, SQL Server / Databricks, and Power BI.
- Drive data automation and reporting initiatives, including extract creation and delivery.
- Provide rotational onsite support to business users until close of business.
- Collaborate on hiring and onboarding efforts, including interview coordination and feedback for new developer candidates.
