Lumentum is seeking a dynamic Sr. Director of Product and Strategic Marketing to drive thought leadership, shape market perception, and help define their future in the optical communications space
Requirements
- Strong technical background (engineering or scientific field)
- Deep industry experience in optical communications or related high-tech sectors
- Proven ability to create technical marketing content (white papers, blogs, briefs)
- Experience using market insights and competitive data to drive strategy
- Knowledge of product roadmaps and aligning marketing efforts with business goals
- Familiarity with global B2B marketing strategies
- Experience with social media and digital content strategies
Responsibilities
- Build Product and Customer Insight by partnering with Business Units, Product Managers, and Sales to understand products, roadmaps, customers, and key differentiators
- Develop and lead creation of technical marketing content including white papers, blog posts, product briefs, case studies, and thought leadership articles
- Support and represent Lumentum at industry webinars, trade shows, and speaking engagements
- Plan scripts and messaging for product videos, demos, and customer testimonials
- Own and maintain product-related website content
- Collaborate with the CTO office on strategic initiatives and market modeling
- Translate future product vision into compelling marketing narratives
Other
- Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of experience in product or strategic marketing
- Confident public speaker and effective customer-facing communicator
- Strong collaboration skills across product, sales, and engineering teams
- Presence is required onsite 5 days/week to foster collaboration and productivity
- Advanced degree (MBA or MS/PhD in a technical discipline) preferred
