Requirements
- 12+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience leading others.
- Significant experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Educational Background: Typically requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate a clear, compelling vision and strategy for data science, inspiring the team and aligning with PayPal's long-term goals.
- Lead the execution of high-impact data science projects that drive business transformation and innovation.
- Collaborate with senior executives to integrate data science into strategic planning and decision-making.
- Oversee the development of advanced data science capabilities, including machine learning and AI.
- Ensure the highest standards of data governance, privacy, and security.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the data science team.
- Mentor junior scientists.
