Secmation is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in RF systems, military communications, and software-defined radios (SDR) to contribute to the design and development of advanced embedded software for secure communications and electronic warfare applications.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems; strong Python preferred.
- Experience with Linux-based operating systems in embedded environments.
- Deep technical background in communication systems, RF, and SDR development (e.g., GNURadio, REDHAWK, or similar frameworks).
- Experience in simulation of radio equipment
- Strong understanding of digital signal processing, error correction, adaptive tuning, and optimization for communication systems.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with tools such as Git and Jira.
- Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) system applications.
Responsibilities
- Implementation and optimization of embedded software for RF and communications systems, focusing on SDR platforms.
- Develop and integrate signal processing algorithms, communication waveforms, and security features into embedded systems.
- Collaborate with RF, hardware, and systems engineers to design secure, resilient communications for defense and industrial applications.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, mission simulations, and real-world validation of SDR-based communication systems.
Other
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in embedded systems software development.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity protections in RF and communications systems.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to government clearance requirements.
