SPX Technologies is looking to solve business and technical problems related to New Product Introduction (NPI) and Revenue Generating Projects within their Battlespace and Spectrum Monitoring Systems (SMS) markets by hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for CommTech.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in RF based system level engineering with exposure to both hardware and software components
- Knowledge of SW development processes (such as Agile)
- knowledge of system testing techniques is needed
- 5+ years of increasing management responsibility including technical leadership, staffing, project management and customer facing interaction
- MSEE or MSCS with emphasis on RF communication systems
- Process oriented with proven track record of effectively managing teams and consistently delivering measurable outcomes
- Ability to work collaboratively, cross-functional and geographically distributed (time zones) teams to investigate and solve technical and business problems
Responsibilities
- Managing a technical team responsible for embedded SW development, firmware development, user interface development, RF and Antenna Development and systems engineering
- Own resource planning and staffing to meet current and projected department workload
- Driving processes and procedures in support of the Director, Engineering
- Contribute to technical input on the design and development of new products
- ensuring alignment with engineering best practices, performance requirements, and innovation goals
- Partner with the Director of Engineering to drive success across key initiatives and CommTech KPIs
- Supporting the Director, Engineering in implementing and enforcing processes and procedures to drive consistency and quality

- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident or U.K. citizen
- Ability to communicate complex technical subjects to colleagues and customers who lack a strong technical background
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects running concurrently
- Key leader and presence in the Fremont Office will require time in our Fremont, California office
