Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in component design, test and analysis.
- Extensive skill and knowledge of the design and manufacture of gas turbines.
- Solid knowledge of turbine engines and design technologies
Responsibilities
- analytical design, validation, development, production, and field support for static structure components for all Growth Engines product lines (HTF-NG, T55-714C)
- Conceiving new and innovative concepts to improve structural integrity and durability of engine structure, mounting, rotating to static clearances, frames and cases.
- Driving continuous improvement, process and tool improvements, Criteria, Guidelines and Practices for commonality of analysis approaches through lessons learned, best practices, innovative thinking and comparative benchmarking to achieve state-of-the-art technology
- Technical disciplines include stress, vibration, deflection, low cycle and high cycle fatigue life, containment and thermal analyses.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all regulatory / certification / qualification activities associated with approving hardware for use in propulsion engines.
- Drive engineering teams to effectively solve complex engineering problems.
- Partner with other engineering teams to ensure the resources and skills needed to drive business growth.
Other
- Provide functional management and technical guidance to the team to meet schedule and budget commitments for all programs.
- Ensures appropriate resource deployment and execution rigor.
- Help develop and guide strategic plans to improve technology and methodologies.
