Requirements
- 10+ years in Software Development or Engineering roles
- 6+ years of experience managing (Software manager, Engineering manager) a team of Staff Level Architects
- 5+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language
- 4+ years of experience developing micro service
- Experienced in Service-Oriented & Microservices Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Domain Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, Domain Driven Design
- Fluent in identifying and applying architecture patterns, designing RESTful API
- Experienced with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Staff and Senior Staff software architects, fostering their professional growth and development
- Define and prioritize the work for the architecture team, aligning it with product roadmaps and business objectives
- Guide the team in designing high-level architectural solutions for complex software systems
- Establish and manage team ceremonies (e.g., architecture review boards, design sessions, backlog grooming) to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making
- Refine and improve architectural processes and workflows to enhance team efficiency and output quality
- Define, implement, and enforce architectural standards, principles, and best practices across all engineering teams
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, security, maintainability)
Other
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 6 years experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving ability
