Under Armour is looking to drive Footwear product development from brief to Confirm for Production (Buy ready) by building and supporting overall footwear cross-functional teams with the best in class of fit & comfort, performance, and creating a world class footwear.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Footwear product development and manufacturing
- Current computer hardware and software proficiency
- Program Experience: Microsoft Suite, Adobe Illustrator, or 3D viewer, and Centric
Responsibilities
- Displays a strong understanding of advanced concepts of blueprints, shell patterns, materials, footwear manufacturing, mold making, costing and product testing.
- Collaborates with design to drive the product creation process forward by maintaining and creating tech packages for assigned projects, including blueprints, shell patterns, color cads, material maps, VR samples, and maintaining style BOMs through to the buy-ready milestones.
- Contributes to the product creation process by providing costing, performance, and technical solutions to creative ideas
- Continuously updates all necessary product information within the Centric PLM System
- Clear and detailed daily communication with our sourcing teammates to drive projects towards buy ready
- Initiate and lead meetings with product teams during various phases of development to review, evaluate, update, and ultimately drive the decision-making process that leads to on–time buy ready and achieves margin goals
- Collaborate with the product testing team to make informed revisions throughout various sample stages
Other
- 8 +years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Footwear/Textile Design, Biomechanical/Industrial/or Chemical Engineering or a related field preferred not required
- Ability to work professionally and efficiently cross-functionally across Under Armour, including Design, Marketing, Production, and Operations
- Strong understanding of the working methods and cultural norms of source countries
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Portland, OR* office.
- This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
