Kentro is looking to hire a Sr. Frontend Developer to support the development of the VIT database and APIs, while expanding its functionality to provide greater adjudicative support through providing information necessary to complete steps four and five of the SSA sequential evaluation process.
Requirements
- Experience with PostGreSql, NodeJs, Express, Azure, Java, PL/SQL, MDE, and Chai/Mocha testing libraries
- Front-end development skills: Angular 8.0+, HTML/JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), YUI and/or JQuery.
- Server-side component design skills: Object-Oriented Design with Java EE 6 and up, Spring/SpringBoot, Jax-WS and JAX-RS Webservice development, Apache OpenJPA or similar, EJB 3.0, common frameworks such as Maven, JUnit, Log4J, Mockito.
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, DB2, Oracle), SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate, Spring JDBC).
- Solid experience with automated unit testing, TDD, BDD, and associated technologies (Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium, Karma/Jasmine, TSLint).
- Usability and Section 508 principles.
- WebSphere deployment.
- Git, BitBucket, Jenkins automation.
Responsibilities
- Participate as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, development, testing, integration, documentation and presentation phases.
- Apply principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific Work Order requirements, and make recommendations and advise on organization-wide system improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts.
- Work closely with the Project Manager/Chief Architect on activities such as technical proposal support, defect management, software development/modification/enhancement, system integration, and maintenance/process improvement activities.
- Support risk/opportunity management, causal analysis, and lessons learned activities.
- Ensure that code quality continuously improves through strict adherence to such practices as continuous integration, automated testing, pair work (e.g., peer code review, pair programming), static code analysis, and refactoring.
- Code is evaluated by the ability to satisfy user stories; simplicity, modularity, and flexibility in the code; and by test coverage.
- All newly developed features, bug fixes, and refactoring’s should be verified by automated tests.

- Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of experience.
- Agile Validation and Requirements Analysts familiar with SSA agile methodologies and Digital.ai tools.
- Must demonstrate the experience and ability to work without technical oversight and to lead and/or supervise a team of specialists.
- Must possess superior oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues and ideas to team members, management and customers.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
