Humana is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain internal websites and tools that empower their enterprise data platform teams, operating at the intersection of database administration and software engineering.
Requirements
- Direct SQL Server experience is critical and required to be considered for this role.
- 5+ years of hands-on, relevant software development experience
- 3+ years of C-Sharp web application development experience using MVC and ASP.net
- Proficiency in programming, preferably in Python
- 3+ years of SQL Server experience (either on-prem or cloud)
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems
- Strong diagnostic and debugging skills using observability tooling (e.g. Dynatrace, SQL Sentry), logs, monitoring
Responsibilities
- Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end.
- building and maintaining internal websites and tools that empower our enterprise data platform teams.
- take ownership of the entire development cycle—from deploying new features in C-Sharp, to writing SQL for diagnosing and resolving environment misconfigurations, to designing innovative solutions driven by real-world customer needs.
- Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management.
- Begins to influence department’s strategy.
- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technical field or equivalent and relevant experience in lieu of degree requirement.

- This is a remote position but does require a US address and physical presence in the US.
