The Sr. Fullstack Software Engineer, Platform will deliver end-to-end features that make a difference for people and the planet by building systems that turn climate data and models into outputs that help people and organizations act with confidence.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience in frontend technologies like Javascript, Typescript, and frameworks like React.
- Experience developing and contributing to production-quality APIs and services.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver them end-to-end.
- Comfortable understanding and debugging unfamiliar code in a large project.
Responsibilities
- Deliver features end-to-end: build intuitive UIs in React/TypeScript and develop the backend endpoints that power them.
- Write well-crafted, efficient, and testable code in Javascript / Typescript.
- Contribute to core platform development by designing APIs, integrating services, and optimizing data flows that support frontend applications.
- Create documentation and technical plans for new features and system designs.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high quality.
- Scope out tasks and systems, looking for future improvements.
- Strive for excellence in software craftsmanship, and collaborate with peers to improve software design.

- Collaborate with engineering, design, user experience, product and analytics teams to identify needs, evaluate requirements, write specifications, and design and implement robust software systems.

- Good communication skills – particularly the ability to discuss timelines, design concerns, and provide helpful feedback to team members.
