Tesla is looking to improve the graphics aspect of existing and next generation infotainment products to deliver critical driving visualizations and support an ever-richer suite of entertainment and productivity features for passengers in their autonomous vehicles
Requirements
- Excellent C/C++ coding skills
- Strong Linux Kernel fundamentals
- Experience with Linux graphics technologies (Wayland, Mesa3D, DRM)
- Significant Embedded Linux experience in production
- Contributions to the Linux Kernel or other open source projects, preferred
- Experience with Graphics APIs (Vulkan, OpenGL), preferred
- Experience with system-level Android, preferred
Responsibilities
- Extract every bit of performance out of the hardware using first principles
- Leverage latest upstream technologies to unlock new visual experiences
- Develop and integrate tooling to identify optimization opportunities across the stack
- Identify and execute stability improvements as we scale the fleet
- Bringup next generation hardware
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to best practices for high-quality embedded software development
