A Guidewire Policy Center Developer is needed to design, develop, and implement software solutions for insurance companies, focusing on configuring and customizing the PolicyCenter platform.

Requirements

  • GOSU (Guidewire Object Studio), Java/J2EE.
  • REST APIs, XML, JSON, SQL.
  • Guidewire Studio, Git, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter development and configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with the PolicyCenter Data Model, Rules Engine, Product Designer, and Rating Engine.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter components, including the product model, rating engine, business rules, UI (PCF), data models, and batch processes.
  • Implement enhancements, new product lines, and customizations using Guidewire's GOSU programming language and Java.
  • Develop and support integrations with external systems (e.g., billing, claims, third-party providers) using web services and APIs.
  • Conduct unit testing, participate in integration testing, debug code, and resolve defects and performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production Guidewire applications and provide technical support.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, integrations, and system architecture.

  • Work with business analysts, solution architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
