Waters Corporation is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect to provide thought leadership and technical stewardship across its global IT infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that support business operations and strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
Requirements
- Enterprise networks (LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Data center and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, hybrid models)
- ITSM automation and service delivery (ServiceNow)
- End-user computing, collaboration platforms (O365, Teams, VDI), and endpoint management
- Security principles and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GxP)
- Automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell
Responsibilities
- Define and own multi-year infrastructure architecture standards, roadmaps, and target-state blueprints.
- Architect secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that reduce technical debt and modernize platforms.
- Direct discovery, analysis, and documentation of infrastructure across network, cloud, data centers, endpoints, ITSM, and collaboration platforms.
- Architect comprehensive integration and rationalization strategies for M&A, ensuring synergy realization, risk mitigation, and operational stability.
- Lead infrastructure-related projects from concept through implementation.
- Ensure infrastructure designs comply with security policies, regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GxP), and data privacy requirements.

- Serve as the principal architect and trusted advisor for global infrastructure, ensuring robust, future-ready technology platforms aligned with Waters’ business and scientific strategies.
- Lead the assessment, roadmap definition, and integration of infrastructure assets between Waters and acquired entities, delivering a unified, high-performing environment.
- Drive innovation, automation, and operational excellence from technical delivery to board-level strategy.
- Proven track record leading high-visibility architecture programs, especially in regulated industries (life sciences, healthcare, or medical devices preferred).
- Experience driving mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration activities.
