The company needs a Senior IT Product Manager to create a roadmap of IT solutions that meet current business objectives and forecast future product trajectory.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with a breadth of technologies and product types (SaaS, COTS, and custom-built solutions)
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and Scrum at scale
  • Excellent ability to write product documentation, e.g., user stories, training materials, and/or release notes

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the assigned business unit and product area to drive a strategic vision and forecast for the roadmap
  • Facilitate functional and technical requirements gathering by maintaining a well-defined roadmap and collaborating with Product Owners and/or Business Analysts during scoping activities
  • Manage the product life cycle, end-to-end, from strategic planning, through tactical execution, delivery, user training, and support
  • Cultivate a UX-first mentality and culture when defining workflows and user interfaces for new and existing products
  • Prioritize product backlogs across multiple products within a product area / business unit
  • Work closely with other IT teams including infrastructure, development, and testing teams to support releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades, etc.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors where applicable to ensure the product continues to meet the Firm’s needs, including influencing the product roadmap and evaluating the vendors’ performance

  • Interact with business stakeholders to build relationships and identify product needs, gaps, and opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Agile or Scrum certification a plus
  • 7+ years’ experience implementing and/or supporting software development, with specific experience in a hands-on product management role
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders across a range of departments
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and have excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
