Pacific Life is seeking a Senior IT Solution Analyst to analyze and design transformed processes for various Life insurance functions, providing cost-effective innovative technology solutions for required business needs.
Requirements
- Proficient in database query tools such as SQL, Microsoft, Oracle, Snowflake
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suit, Microsoft Visio, Lucid Chart
- Experience supporting business analytics and/or data visualization projects
- Experience documenting business, functional, and technical requirements
- Exposure to Snowflake
- Exposure to data integration tools such as Matillion, DBT or Kafka
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other visualization tools
Responsibilities
- Contribute to initiatives that may be strategic and/or cross-functional by conceptualizing complex business problems and translating business objectives into actionable solutions
- Gather and analyze business requirements, industry best-practices and technical information to help design and support information technology solutions
- Understand the connection between Snowflake and on-prem Life teams and the interrelated data requirements to support both Data teams as a cross-functional liaison and interpreter
- Document technical requirements - serve as the liaison between the business and technology regarding new business solutions or enhancements to existing business solutions
- Analyze complex business processes to make improvements and develop solution design approaches
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, technology architects, various stakeholders and fellow analysts to design, manage implementation and support complex business and technology solutions
- Provide project oversight in support of project management through monitoring and assessment of project status and actively work to mitigate risks

- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or IT related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and solid written and verbal communication
