Genworth is looking to solve business needs by leading/coordinating project builds, developing solutions, and establishing clean documentation for their IT team. They need to recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development, emerging new technologies and off-the-shelf alternatives. The role will also involve leading development and overseeing testing while managing changes for supported applications, including the managing and distribution of team assignments. Additionally, the role requires translating user stories into functional software, creating visual representations of business processes, and triaging/troubleshooting production problems while understanding system downtime and SLAs.
Requirements
- 7-10 years experience in Application Development and data technologies/design
- 7-10 years of experience programming in Java, and web development frameworks (Spring)
- 7-10 years of experience in developing, supporting, and consuming RESTful services and microservices
- Good understanding of Software Engineering principles
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) is a plus

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent certifications
