Peraton is looking for a Senior Software Developer to support Intelligence Community and DoD customers by developing and integrating emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness (SSA) data processing and distribution for the EMMETT program, a next-generation Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java
- 3+ years of experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot
- Experience with API development, including REST architectural style
- Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Bitbucket, or Jenkins
- Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development
- Experience with Linux OS and Command Line Interface
Responsibilities
- Provide TS/SCI Java software development of modules. Some of these techniques include but are not limited to event-driven or state-driven programming, error logging, and exception handling.
- Perform TS/SCI software analysis, architecture, engineering, and integration services at the unit, module, and system levels.
- Perform all aspects of software engineering support required to implement systems.
- Adhere to open standards and modern software development methodologies, including what is considered 'best' practices by Industry to the extent that operational requirements will allow.
- Provide technical reports, white papers and other documentation as required to documents findings of all software engineering service activities.
Other
- This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date
