Requirements
- Java 8+ – Expert-level, with deep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
- Spring Boot – Proven experience building enterprise-grade microservices.
- Kafka (or equivalent) – Strong experience with event-driven architecture and stream processing.
- Observability – Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Splunk or similar tools.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, ElastiCache/Redis, Lambda, API Gateway) – Hands-on deployment and optimization experience.
- Terraform – Ability to design infrastructure-as-code for production systems.
- 5+ Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, CI/CD pipelines, Kafka, SQL & NoSQL databases
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly available systems
- Optimize Java-based systems for concurrency, performance, and memory efficiency
- Guide engineering teams in adopting best practices for system design, observability, and reliability
- Either decommission or modernize the legacy application or AWS migration
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define a long-term technology roadmap
- Champion DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability best practices
- Mentor engineers, conduct reviews, and drive technical excellence across teams
Other
- 5+ years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
- AWS certifications preferred (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer)
- Knowledge of networking protocols and security best practices
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server environment
