Quest Diagnostics is looking to design, develop, configure, and optimize key functionality within their cloud-based enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to handle the generation, analysis, quality control, and interpretation of clinical data produced by diagnostic NGS assays, ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient solutions that support clinical diagnostic workflows, laboratory operations, and business processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the development of custom code using scripting and/or programming languages within an enterprise LIMS.
- Strong ability to read, write, and optimize complex SQL queries and manage large relational databases.
- Experience with enterprise system integration (REST APIs, web services, middleware).
- Proven track record of implementing LIMS in regulated laboratory environments.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, data management, software design controls and compliance requirements.
- Extensive experience with StarLIMS v12, its associated technology layers, and its internal applications.
- Extensive experience with StarLIMS Scripting Language, HTML5, Jscript, and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Work extensively within our cloud-based StarLIMS v12 environments and its technology layers to design and develop front-end and back-end solutions which further automate our scientific workflows and technical processes.
- Design, test, and deploy integrations with internal and external enterprise applications (via APIs, web services, and middleware).
- Create, optimize, and maintain reports and dashboards within StarLIMS and its associated reporting tools including Advanced Analytics, Crystal Reports, and QBE.
- Provide technical support for software validation activities, troubleshooting, and production system use.
- Contribute to team-wide technical standards by maintaining detailed and up-to-date technical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage workload in Jira and Confluence and provide timely status updates on tasks that are either assigned or self-assigned.

- This is a salaried position, with occasional weekend work to satisfy project timelines and end-user support.
- This position can work 100% remote and may require up to 10% travel.
- Candidates must be located in the US and available during Eastern and Central business hours.
