QVC Group is looking to build and scale its machine learning, AI, and data platform to improve the timeliness and accuracy of business decisions, aiming to grow revenue, customer file, and profitability. The Sr. Manager, Data Science will drive data science and AI priorities by designing and implementing scalable and automated advanced analytics and decision support solutions across various business functions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Data Science model development with a combination of Bayesian statistics, multivariate regression analysis (beyond linear regression), forecasting/predictive analytics, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, time-series analysis, mixed integer and linear programming using optimization packages such as Gurobi, CPlex, or others
- Mastery in one or more Data Science platforms: Databricks, Microsoft Azure, Google BigQuery or AWS cloud platforms, and practical machine learning using frameworks such as scikit-learn, H2O, TensorFlow, Caffe, Mllib, finetuning LLMs, AgentBricks
- Experience with GenAI and Agentic AI technologies
- Experience with tool-chaining of ML models
Responsibilities
- Hands-on design and development of machine learning and AI models, and successfully implement with end-users with favorable business impact; models must be validated to highest standards of accuracy, consistency, and business relevance
- Be on the cutting edge of implementing and activating GenAI and Agentic AI technologies with potential tool-chaining of ML models to simplify complex workflows and analyses, enhance decision-making, and transform business planning and execution processes
- Lead and mentor Data Scientists to exceed expectations by delegating and coordinating deliverables; fully own the quality and timeliness of the Data Scientist's deliverables
- Design and implement scalable and automated advanced analytics and decision support solutions
- Create new and advanced Data Science based business processes that result in improved outcomes
- Develop multi-touch sales attribution, pricing optimization, econometric sales forecasting, airtime optimization, recommendation engines, AI forecasting and analytics, and customer targeting models
- Apply Data Science tools and models to solve problems, validate outputs, and influence results

- Maintain a steady prioritization of projects and tasks with clear timelines of deliverables, managing expectations of supervisor and business stakeholders
- Proactively identify and clear roadblocks to project deadlines and successful adoption; partner with Business and Enterprise Data Management IT teams to escalate and influence clearing the roadblocks promptly
- Present project updates and perform demonstration of successfully implemented Data Science capabilities to the Executive leadership audience
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability towards deliverables and urgent needs by handling Data Science projects and analytical business requests simultaneously
