MAPFRE Insurance is looking to solve the problem of managing product development and lifecycle management by hiring a Senior Manager, Product Engineering to lead a team of engineers and develop strategies and roadmaps in partnership with the Senior leadership team.
Requirements
- 7-10 years' hands on experience in software engineering field.
- Experience in leading software engineering teams and proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Experience of running agile practices.
- Strong experience of data and architectural principles.
- Makes data driven independent decisions.
- Proven ability to build and manage high performing engineering teams, measured by data and KPIs.
- Experience with software development and engineering management
Responsibilities
- Develops strategies and roadmaps in partnership with Senior leadership team.
- Leads and scales high-performing engineering teams to deliver complex software solutions efficiently and effectively.
- Develops and executes a strategic vision for the engineering organization, aligning technology adoption and resource allocation with business objectives.
- Analyzes business needs and proposes budgets, technologies, and resources to achieve strategic goals.
- Actively seeks out and implements innovative solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
- Presents technical thought leadership and insights at various leadership forums.
- Drives a data-driven decision-making culture within the engineering organization.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- A master’s in computer science is a strong preference.
