Vertiv is looking to solve the business problem of providing subject matter expertise and market knowledge for the Chilled Water market and associated product portfolio, with a focus on the globalization of Chilled Water Systems in the Americas region.
Requirements
- Strong Technical knowledge of data center cooling products and applications; specifically Chilled Water Systems
- Working knowledge of New Product Development Process, customer engagement and field sales
- Experience with data center focused HVAC solutions, chillers.
- Strong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs.
- Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas.
- Chinese language a plus
- Ability to understand the market, competitive landscape, and the technical details of the product.
Responsibilities
- Manage/Lead a team of 5 Product Managers and collaborate closely with other Global/Regional Product Managers and Engineering Leaders across the Vertiv group to build-out core competencies for leading the centrifugal chiller category.
- Develop detailed requirements for new class leading products based on Voice of the Customer and understanding of their product usage and buying journey.
- Support development of leading single Chilled Water products including launch plan and execute with regional project manager and cross-functional regional teams for new products in the EMEA, North America and Asia Pacific region.
- Develop business case(s) for new product (s) and capabilities needed to support the Chilled Water business.
- Act as a sales escalation point for complex customer opportunities.
- Attend tradeshows, visit customers, meet with partners, and collaborate in industry bodies to ensure an accurate voice of customer is heard in all product plans.
- Develop / harvest historical sales and margin data for analysis of liquid cooling projects, markets, and product data.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly between China, Monterrey Mexico, Italy, India and Columbus Ohio.
- 5-10+ years' experience in a product management role, Exceptional research and analytical skills.
- Strong Preference: Experience with data center focused HVAC solutions, chillers.
- Work Authorization: Vertiv will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
