Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading large embedded, wireless, networking teams with deep technical understanding of end-end wireless networks
- Wireless space experience is desirable
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Responsibilities
- Lead the software team to build and deploy the Kuiper Point of Presence software to deliver broadband internet service
- Work with the product and business teams to define requirements, drive roadmap to leverage Amazon’s AWS network resources, connect consumer and enterprise users to the public/private networks
- Work with peer teams and customers to design suitable software systems and interfaces with underlying hardware to fulfill the Kuiper networking goals.
- Develop a strategic plan for the growth of the team, both from a software and integrated mission outcomes perspective.
- Aid in the design of mission critical systems in Project Kuiper.
- Collaborate with your fellow team members to integrate various system elements, both hardware and software.
