Henry Schein One is seeking a Sr Software Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams in building Dentrix, the industry’s most trusted and awarded dental practice management system. The role aims to align engineering with strategic objectives, ensure secure and reliable delivery at scale, and foster a high-performance, people-first culture.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive software development experience with our tech stack, with 3+ years in people management
- Proven success leading distributed or hybrid engineering teams at scale
- Excellent knowledge of SDLC, including Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
- Experience with C, C-Sharp, C++, .Net 4.7
- Experience with WinForms, WPF, WinUI
- Experience with MS SQL Server
- Experience with GitLab and Jira
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow multiple engineering teams delivering mission-critical software to dental practices and their patients
- Directly oversee team leaders and influence engineering practices, technical execution, and outcomes across the organization
- Establish and enforce standards for software engineering, analysis, QA, and project delivery
- Partner with Product and UX to deliver customer-centric solutions that align with strategic initiatives
- Monitor and manage project scope, forecasts, risks, and budgets
- Promote mature DevOps practices, continuous integration/deployment, and test-driven development
- Drive clarity, accountability, and alignment through effective communication of goals, priorities, and status to team members and stakeholders
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Ability to lead through influence, resolve conflict, and build consensus across functions
- Clear, empathetic communicator who thrives in collaborative environments
- Travel typically less than 10%
- Office environment with no special physical demands required
