Docusign is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their Developer Platform and Infrastructure team. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and optimizing the core development infrastructure that empowers Docusign's engineers to deliver high-quality software efficiently and reliably. The goal is to enhance developer productivity, improve CI/CD capabilities, and streamline workflows by providing robust foundational systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of combined software development and management experience across at least 3 different languages
  • 8+ years of hands-on software development as an individual contributor
  • Experience implementing DevOps practices and tools, including monitoring, logging, and alerting, with a focus on reliability and resilience
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience in test-driven development techniques via nUnit, xUnit, MsTest and other unit testing frameworks
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance standards for infrastructure and application deployment
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) and cloud stacks (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers focused on developer platform and infrastructure
  • Drive the design, development, and optimization of core systems that support build, test, deployment, and developer productivity
  • Partner with architects and engineering leaders to identify developer and infrastructure needs while setting technical priorities
  • Champion reliability, scalability, and security best practices in all platform services
  • Oversee CI/CD improvements to accelerate release cycles and reduce friction in the development process
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure platform solutions meet the evolving needs of the engineering organization
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement

  • Hybrid work model: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and leading technical teams
  • Ability and desire to move across technology stacks fluently and easily
  • Experience with on-call rotations, demonstrating the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues under pressure, ensuring system stability and minimal downtime
