The business problem is to ensure the scalability, reliability, security, and supportability of technical systems while achieving business, IT performance, and budgetary objectives. This involves developing and implementing Architecture Roadmap Strategies and aligning them with strategic and tactical projects.

Requirements

  • General Knowledge of Microsoft OS – XP and MS Office
  • Thorough knowledge of Architecture’s framework, procedures, and practices
  • Solid Engineer or developer background
  • Strategic thinker with ability to formulate plans, strategies, and outcomes
  • Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex Architecture issues with innovative solutions
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
  • Ability to present Architecture concepts and ideas both verbally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors and technical staff to ensure that all of IT and its business clients understand and support the Architecture direction

Responsibilities

  • Spearheading the development, implementation and communications of Architecture Roadmap Strategies
  • Define Architecture roles for strategic and tactical projects ensuring alignment to Architecture Roadmap
  • Provide guidance to IT development teams
  • Participates in evaluation and prioritization of customer/user requests
  • Oversees feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and the establishment and implementation of new or revised programs
  • Ensures projects are completed within designated periods and tracks and reports progress to upper management
  • Participates in cross-departmental IT initiatives

  • Manage a functional team in one or more sites
  • Work to develop employee’s skills; evaluate performance, provide feedback and oversees resolution of employee relations, issues
  • Consults with business and IT management to evaluate user requests and clarify objectives for projects and initiatives
  • Develop annual initiatives and specific deliverables for their team
