The F135 Program Digital Solutions group needs a Senior Manager - Software Engineer Manager to lead a team of software engineers, providing discipline guidance for digital solution development to meet strategic objectives for the F135 Program.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with software engineering and DevOps
- Demonstrated experience leading and working in an Agile environment
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience using technology such as Vue.js, Node.js, Python, Jenkins, Git, and GitHub
- Experience working with cloud services – AWS or Azure
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to document and communicate software engineering approaches
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Software Development practice, providing vision, direction, and mentorship to a team of Software Engineers, fostering a positive software development culture of excellence in line with Pratt & Whitney values, CORE Operating System, and the Leadership Operating Model
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new processes, policies, standards or operating plans in support of strategic objectives
- Collaborate with Product Owners and the Product Manager of the agile teams that your employees are assigned to, and the Stakeholders of those teams, to define scope, requirements, deliverables, and to drive compliance with RTX guidelines for authorized solution deployment (Architecture Review Board (ARB), Authority to Operate (ATO), CLARA, etc)
- Partner with other Platform and Enablement teams across PW who are building foundational digital capabilities so that your development requirements are well understood and supported by what they develop
- Support the Product Owners and Product Manager in the communication of software status, issues, risks, and opportunities to audiences including team leadership, Program leadership, and external customers
- Provide discipline guidance to digital solution development in support of the F135 Program.
- Guide the team members to excel in the Agile operating model.
