Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a Sr. Oracle Developer to support the Payroll modules of Oracle EBS, ensuring system reliability, accuracy, and compliance with evolving requirements, while also supporting key institutional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge of Oracle EBS Payroll and OTL (Oracle Time & Labor) modules, including configuration, customization, and extensions.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, BI
  • Proven ability to design and implement complex customizations, integrations, and conversions for OTL/Payroll.
  • Experience with RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) development.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processing rules, compliance (SECURE Act), and time/labor business processes (NEEC).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong background in agile software development methodologies and full SDLC delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Use agile methodologies to design, build, and maintain business solutions with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
  • Support development, customization, integrations, and maintenance of Oracle EBS.
  • Support key institutional initiatives such as the SECURE Act and the NEEC program.
  • Ensure payroll systems are reliable, accurate, and compliant with evolving requirements.
  • Exercise strong collaboration and communication skills to work directly with functional customers and technical peers.
  • Be eager to learn, motivated to solve challenging problems, and have the skills and expertise to deliver effective, cutting-edge solutions and mission-critical software.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll/timekeeping technical issues.

Other

  • This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico; however, this position has been approved for work in a primarily remote capacity.
  • This role is anticipated to be short-term (5 months) with the possibility of extension.
