Apple is looking for an experienced/Senior OS Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building the on-device, online Experimentation platform that empowers Apple engineers to deliver great user experiences by addressing key challenges to accelerate the adoption of ML across the OS stack, operating at the scale of 2+ billion devices.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of iOS, macOS fundamentals and frameworks, or similar Operating Systems
  • Experience with daemon and framework development
  • Proven ability to deliver iOS/macOS or similar OS production grade software
  • Highly technical, detail oriented, and willing to drive architecture and solutions
  • Experience with one or more of the following languages: Objective-C, Swift, C/C++, etc
  • Experience with shipping online Experimentation systems
  • Experience with Machine Learning

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the team that designs, develops and operates an online experimentation platform to enable on-device and device/server combined ML workflows.
  • build a service to rollout / rollback experiments to billions of devices in just few hours
  • build highly scalable data systems to process billions of events daily.
  • Develop and grow a strong team of senior systems engineers.
  • Set the vision, multi-year roadmap and execution plans for the platform in collaboration with senior cross-functional leaders across Apple.
  • Drive engineering quality for the platform.
  • responsible for on-device daemon & framework development.
