Requirements
- Strong programming skills with Python and/or C++
- Experience with ROS 2 and robotic software integration is required
- Experience with fielding research level computer vision systems on physical hardware. Robotics setting preferred
- Good grasp of at least a handful of computer vision techniques, for example 3D object modeling, depth sensing, scene graph estimation, object pose estimation, Gaussian splatting, or point/object tracking
- Experience taking research code to production level
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Integrate existing state-of-the-art vision algorithms on robot hardware
- Workwith researchers on developing and implementing new vision algorithms for robotic manipulation, navigation and calibration
- Support project software, including designing modular software systems and assisting with software infrastructure like calibration efforts, camera drivers, and containerization
- Mentor junior engineers and researchers
- Promote and enforce quality and reliability of code through mentorship and regular code reviews.
Other
- BS, MS or PhD in computer science, robotics, electrical/mechanical/aerospace engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years in a related industry
- Proven track record of collaboration and mentorship of junior colleagues
