Deloitte Global is looking for a Performance Engineer to provide performance management services and expertise across the entire service catalog of GTS, ensuring software products are free of errors and work as expected.
Requirements
- Gathering performance requirements, implementing performance test strategies and designing performance test scenarios.
- Creating and maintaining system load profiles (workload characterizations), including mathematical models used to predict system performance under stress.
- Designing, developing and executing performance test suites for projects and regular release cycles using LoadRunner and JMeter.
- Conducting performance, stress, and scalability testing to ensure all software products are free of errors and work as expected.
- Identifying performance bottlenecks, collaborating with software development, and devops teams to remediate performance issues.
- Preparing detailed reports on the results of performance tests, documenting any defects and systems errors.
- Maintains awareness of application and computer system architecture.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Application Teams, Member Firms, Business Analysts, IT Architects, Development Team Members, and Infrastructure Operations to provide performance management services and expertise across the entire service catalog of GTS.
- Provides performance planning, testing, execution, analysis, and recommendations across the Infrastructure and the Application.
- Creates technical testing strategy and technical scope.
- Prepares, executes, and monitors all testing activities.
- Develops tools for the parsing of logs generate by the AUT.
- Maintains test lab including the performance tools and the performance environment.
- Creates specific test cases (including data requirements).
Other
- Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Performance Engineer-related occupation.
- Practices and enforces Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Conductions knowledge sharing and documentation.
- Conducts performance reports and dashboards.
- Tests metrics and recommendation report.
