GM Financial is looking to modernize its tech and change the auto finance industry, with a focus on zero emission, zero collision, zero congestion, and zero friction, and is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to help lead this effort
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge on Salesforce and related integrations to support platforms with 3000 plus users
- Experience rolling out at least 5 implementations on salesforce
- Extensive knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns including but not limited to API’s, events etc.
- Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
- Relevant certifications or licenses preferred
- 5-7 years experience driving thought leadership and innovation across products
- Advanced knowledge of business acumen and a deep understanding of business implications of decisions

- Contribute to the business unit's vision, goals and strategies, translating vision to solutions while balancing risk, investment needs and fit for purpose
- Drive cross-team solutions, anticipating and addressing problems ahead of the need by acting as a key influencer across business units
- Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members
- Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience
- Fully and completely understand system inter-dependencies and limitations
- Demonstrate Strong judgement and ability to make data driven decisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Other
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience required
- 12 years minimum experience in related functions
- 5-7 years experience leading through mentorship in a related field
- Strong ability to map long-term vision for the business unit and generate innovative ideas that create value
- Ability to maintain and grow strong working relationships and build trust with peers, cross-functional partners
