Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to support programs by investigating supplier-caused issues, providing solutions to mitigate escape and impact on the production line or customer, and ensuring procurements meet customer requirements.
Requirements
- Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) experience with use of investigation tools (5Y, Fishbone, ETC.)
- Understanding of Quality Management System Standards including AS9100, AS9102, and AS5553
- SAP experience, specifically with the Supplier Quality transactions
- Working knowledge of using MES
- Extensive use of electronic Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP, MES, SEP, SIT PDM etc.)
- Support onsite, QMS, and customer audits for Supplier Quality
- Experience with the NGAS Procurement Processes including the Supplier Quality Assurance requirements (SQAR)
Responsibilities
- Support program by investigating supplier caused issues and provide solutions on resultant actions to mitigate escape and impact on the production line or to the customer.
- Provides Supplier Quality (SQ) leadership for the program and is the point of contact for all supplier related activities and actions.
- Collaborates with program management, engineering, Global Supply Chain, functional leadership, and Supplier Management Teams to ensure that all procurements meet or exceed the requirements of external and internal customers.
- Generates and presents supplier performance metrics to support program (i.e., Program Corrective Action Boards) and customer reviews.
- Support SQ requirements development, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard), supplier pre-award capability assessments, source selection evaluations, supplier quality audits, and supplier performance assessments.
- Evaluates supplier-non-conformances, identify negative performance trends and failures for supplier root cause investigation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Reviews and accepts supplier Corrective Action responses.
